Yesterday wasn’t the best day – there was a problem with the server that hosts my own websites (client sites were unaffected, they are hosted separately). That all got sorted out in the end but during the kerfuffle, I went ahead and purchased a SSL certificate. This set me up with a dedicated IP address, which then moved me to another server. Fun – well it would have been fun if it had transfered all of my files. I spent a good number of hours last night transferring over my backup. Yay for backups.

All is good now. I probably didn’t need to air my dirty laundry but I like to be transparent, plus some people will have been affected, so I feel it’s best to let people know. So that is the reason why WubbleYou had downtime yesterday.

I apologise on behalf of all of the megabytes that failed yesterday.

The good news is the SSL certificate is now all set up. I’m really happy, it means the “Turn off secure browsing” message no longer appears. Come 1st of October, every Facebook Canvas and Page Tab will require SSL, so I’m pleased I’ve migrated now rather than disrupt play later without a fallback.

Head over to our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/WubbleYouApp to check it out and enjoy the secureness.
