A New AI View of What’s In Play

InPlay already finds the stocks attracting attention. Now Premium users can see an AI-generated view of that live market data, highlighting interesting setups, signals and the reasons they stand out.

AI Suggestions Are Now Live on InPlay.finance
Build

Today we’ve added something new to InPlay.finance for Premium users: AI Suggestions.

It sits alongside the existing Today’s Suggested Trades panel during the live In-Play window and gives you another way to make sense of what is happening across the stocks InPlay is currently watching.

The important part is that it does not replace what was already there.

InPlay still does what it has always been designed to do: monitor the market, identify stocks that are becoming interesting and surface the information that might deserve a closer look. The new AI layer takes that live data and helps turn it into something easier to digest.

From live market data to useful context

There can be a lot happening at once during a trading session.

A stock might have a large gap, strong relative volume, an Alpha signal, unusual price movement or a technically interesting position around indicators such as VWAP and the EMA20.

Individually, those numbers are useful. Together, they tell a much bigger story.

AI Suggestions analyses the current InPlay data and looks for the stocks and setups that appear most noteworthy at that moment.

Rather than simply returning another list of symbols, it explains why something has caught its attention.

What the AI actually shows

During the live market window, the AI can highlight a small number of stocks from the wider InPlay universe and provide context around each one.

That might include things such as:

  • the technical setup it has identified;
  • how the price is positioned relative to indicators such as VWAP or EMA20;
  • the strength of the current InPlay or Alpha signals;
  • gap and price behaviour;
  • important limitations or missing information;
  • an indication of how confident the AI is that the setup is worth watching.

There is also a broader summary of the current InPlay universe, giving a quick sense of the character of the market at that point in the session.

AI that works with InPlay, not instead of it

This was an important part of the build.

We didn’t want to ask an AI model to simply invent stock ideas from scratch. InPlay already has a significant amount of structured market information available throughout the day.

So the AI starts with what InPlay has already found.

It is analysing the same live universe, signals and market measurements that are being surfaced elsewhere in the platform, then adding interpretation on top.

That distinction matters.

It means the AI is being used as an additional analytical layer rather than becoming the system responsible for deciding what is In Play in the first place.

Designed for the live trading window

The new panel is also designed to evolve during the session.

Market conditions change quickly. A stock that looked particularly interesting earlier in the day may become less relevant, while another can suddenly begin showing much stronger behaviour.

AI Suggestions can therefore be refreshed as the InPlay universe changes, giving Premium users an updated view rather than a static summary produced once at the beginning of the day.

It is a relatively small addition visually, but behind it is something we’ve wanted to do for a while: make better use of all the data InPlay is already collecting.

Making InPlay more useful in the moment

One of the goals with the latest version of InPlay.finance has been to make the platform feel useful right now.

Not tomorrow. Not after reading a lengthy market report. Not after manually working through dozens of charts.

When the US market is open and stocks are moving, InPlay should help narrow the field and show you where it may be worth focusing your attention.

The original suggested trades remain part of that. AI Suggestions now provides a second perspective alongside them.

Sometimes the two may agree. Sometimes the AI may notice a different technical characteristic within the wider InPlay universe. And sometimes the most useful thing it can do is point out that the available data does not support a particularly strong conclusion.

That is exactly how we want it to behave.

Available now for Premium users

AI Suggestions is live today for InPlay Premium users and appears alongside the existing suggestions during the active In-Play session.

We’ll continue refining how the AI interprets the data as we learn more about what is most useful during a real trading day.

It is another step towards what we want InPlay.finance to become: a focused view of the market that helps turn a huge amount of live information into a much smaller number of things worth investigating.

InPlay provides market information and analytical tools for research purposes. Nothing displayed by InPlay or its AI features should be considered personalised financial advice or a recommendation to buy or sell a security.
