Jellybooks provide an online peek-inside service for booksellers, so visitors can read excerpts from a book before purchasing. It enriches the buying experience, making your site more engaging. Peeking inside a book is like trying on clothing before you buy. It’s the final step in the buying process.
I’ve created this plugin for people who want a ‘just works’ experience. You don’t have to do anything, other than activate it. The plugin will automatically discover book covers on your page and fetch the Peek-inside data for you. It will then cache that data, so further visitors receives a quicker experience and Jellybooks aren’t constantly hit.

The first 10% of the book's content is sampled.
How does it work?
The plugin works by scanning all of images on your page. It first determines if the image is a book cover by looking for the ISBN from the IMG tag, it will look in the filename, alt attribute, title attribute or from the meta data. It then searches the Jellybooks' API for the excerpt and asynchronously applies data to the specific book cover. Then when the user clicks on the image, the modal window will load with the Peek-inside data. Magic.
